Exciting Smile Pretty Cure! is a second season to the canon series Smile Pretty Cure!, created by Yousei A. Sina. Besides the team of the original series, new Cures will join the team. The season's themes are fairy tales, legends and happiness.

Pretty Cures[]

Hoshizora Miyuki (星空みゆき, Hoshizora Miyuki^?) - The very cheerful but also very clumsy leader of the team. Miyuki loves fairy tales and aims to be an author herself. She is currently a thrid year student at Nanairogaoka Middle School. Miyuki is very optimistic and always tries to make others smile, no matter what. Her alter ego is Cure Happy (キュアハッピー, Kyua Happī^?), the Pretty Cure of holy light.
Hino Akane (日野あかね, Hino Akane^?) - A very passionate girl that loves to make others laugh. Akane is the new captain of her school's volleyball team. Her family runs an okonomiyaki restaurant, and she often helps out there. Her alter ego is Cure Sunny (キュアサニー, Kyua Sanī^?), the Pretty Cure of fire.
Kise Yayoi (黄瀬やよい, Kise Yayoi^?) - Often described as a crybaby, Yayoi really changed in the original season. As she used to be extremely shy and easy to hurt, she managed to hold her tears back and learned to be more open. Yayoi is very good at drawing and wants to be a mangaka one day. Her alter ego is Cure Peace (キュアピース, Kyua Pīsu^?), the Pretty Cure of thunders.
Midorikawa Nao (緑川なお, Midorikawa Nao^?) - The tomboyish girl of the team. Nao has a strong sense of justice and has no tolerance for wrongdoers. She is usually described as "the older sister" and is very popular among others, even the team. Nao likes to play soccer and is even in the school's team. Her alter ego is Cure March (キュアマーチ, Kyua Māchi^?), the Pretty Cure of wind.
Aoki Reika (青木れいか, Aoki Reika^?) - The calmest out of the group student council president, who likes to write poems and tanka. She is part of the archery team in school. Reika is generally elegant and kind-hearted, but has a frightening temper once her patience reaches her limit. Her alter ego Cure Beauty (キュアビューティ, Kyua Byūti^?), the Pretty Cure of snow.
Sakagami Ayumi (坂上あゆみ, Sakagami Ayumi^?) - Ayumi used to be to shy to talk with others, however this changed as soon as she met the Cures for the first time. Now she is more confident and made lots of friends. However, her family had to move again and so Ayumi landed in Nanairogaoka, the main location of this season. Her alter ego is Cure Echo (キュアエコー, Kyua Ekō^?), the Pretty Cure of feelings.
Himura Kanon (緋村かのん, Himura Kanon^?) - A very energetic young girl who is sometimes described as impulsive and pretentious. Kanon has a real passion for music, any kind of music, although she hates classic music. Kanon has her own mind and always wants to do everything that comes her to mind. However, Kanon is very afraid of heights. Her alter ego is Cure Harmony (キュアハーモニー, Kyua Hāmonī^?), the Pretty Cure of music.
Kurimoto Sora (栗本そら, Kurimoto Sora^?) - A graceful and gentle young girl. Although she is only 14 years old, she always tries to act like a grown up and hates being describes as cute or adorable. However, Sora loves sweets and childish things and gets embarrassed very easy. Her alter ego is Cure Sky (キュアスカイ, Kyua Sukai^?), the Pretty Cure of eclipse.

Allies[]

Candy (キャンディ, Kyandi^?) - The new queen of Märchenland and the main mascot of the original five Cures. Candy usually ends her sentences with "~kuru".
EnEn (エンエン, EnEn^?) - A fox-like fairy that comes from the Fairy Academy. He is together with Gureru Cure Echo's main mascot. He ends his sentences with "~en".
Gureru (グレル, Gureru^?) - Cure Echo's second partner and very good friend on EnEn. Like EnEn, he just came from the Fairy Academy to Nanairogaoka. He ends his sentences with "~eru".
Clover (クローバー, Kurōbā^?) - A cat-like fairy that has been born from a sparkle that landed on a clover field. Her origin is from earth, while the sparkle that created her came from the Ultra Pretty Cures. Clover ends her sentences with "~ba". She is Kanon and Kaguya's partner.

Villains[]

Silhouette (シルエット, Shiruetto^?) - A young woman from Illusion World who opened the door to the world we know. She is the leader of the villains and is able to take any appearance she wants to.
Kaiser (カイザー, Kaizā^?) - The first villain appearin in the series. His character is based on the emperor from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

Sakagami Kiyomi (坂上清見, Sakagami Kiyomi^?) - Ayumi's mother.
Sakagami Kin'ichi (坂上欽一, Sakagami Kin'ichi^?) - Ayumi's father.
Himura Makoto (緋村まこと, Himura Makoto^?) - Kanon's father.
Himura Wakana (緋村和奏, Himura Wakana^?) - Kanon's older sister.
Kurimoto Masaru (栗本まさる, Kurimoto Masaru^?) - Kaguya's father.
Kurimoto Megumi (栗本恵, Kurimoto Megumi^?) - Kaguya's grandmother and former shrine maiden.

Fairy Academy (フェアリー学院, Fearī gakuin^?) - The school EnEn and Gureru did attend to.
Yokohama (横浜, Yokohama^?) - The place Ayumi met Miyuki and the others for the first time.
Himawari Nohara (ひまわり野原, Himawari Nohara^?) - A field full with sunflowers owned by Sora's family.
Illusion World (イリュージョンワールド, Iryūjon Wārudo^?) - Silhouette's homeworld

Royal Pact (ロイヤルパクト, Roiyaru Pakuto^?) - The new transformation item of Miyuki, Akane, Yayoi, Nao, Reika and Ayumi. They transform by saying "Pretty Cure! Smile Charge!".
Cure Decors (キュアデコル, Kyua Dekoru^?) - Special items the Cures need to transform.
Magic Mirror (マジックミラー, Majikku Mirā^?) - Kanon and Kaguya's transformation item. Although using a different item, they also transform by saying "Pretty Cure! Smile Charge!".

The name of the Smile Cures' new attacks are based on the shape of their Cure Decors.
